Contexts
Context refers to the environmental factors and personal factors specific to each client that influence engagement and participation in occupations (AOTA, 2020, S9).
“Environmental factors are aspects of the physical, social, and attitudinal surroundings in which people live and conduct their lives” (AOTA, 2020, S9-10).
“Personal factors are the unique features of a person that are not part of a health condition or health state and that constitute the particular background of the person’s life and living” (AOTA, 2020, S10).
